FACTORY SYSTEMES GROUPE BECOMES LARGEST AVEVA DISTRIBUTOR IN EUROPE WITH ACQUISITION OF AVEVA’S GERMANY AND AUSTRIA DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS.
Factory Software GmbH, headquartered in Neuss, has announced the acquisition of the AVEVA’s HMI/SCADA, MES and APM Software distribution business in Germany and Austria to become the leading AVEVA distributor in the DACH Region.
Factory Software, a Factory Systemes Groupe subsidiary is already operating the AVEVA distribution business in France and Switzerland is now the largest AVEVA distributor in Europe.

Factory Software plans to invest in developing its market share in Germany and Austria. Today, the company already serves over 4000 customers and 150 System Integrators. “The Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation trends in Germany and Austria offer a great potential to expand our footprint. Factory Systemes Groupe has operated the Wonderware business in France since 1987, starting as the first distributor Worldwide. As a result of this acquisition, Factory Software will serve in Europe over 9800 customers and over 400 System Integrators. With more than 100 employees dedicated to support the AVEVA business growth in France, Switzerland, Germany and Austria, Factory Software has set some solid foundations to support customer requests in pre-sales, sales, training, support and application consulting. “Our mission in Germany and Austria is to accelerate the deployment of the AVEVA Software portfolio. The Factory Software GmbH team will remain located mainly in Neuss and Munich. In order to run the operations in the DACH region, Factory Systemes Groupe has appointed Deon Barnard as a General Manager. “Deon is a highly talented and experienced manager in the industrial software business. He has run and developed several companies and was previously managing director of the sole Aveva distributor in charge of the entire portfolio” - concludes Thierry BONTE.
